Peonies in the fall

Peonies are my most favorite flower and I have enjoyed designing with them since I was a child in my mother's garden. Nothing compares to them for size, fragrance and over the top lush. June is typically THE month for peonies and I always suggest to my June brides that they use them somewhere in their wedding decor. I had one special bride this past fall that was eager to have dark red peonies in her bouquet. I mixed them in with red calla lilies, dark red roses and orchids and a few lime green mini orchids for contrast. The peonies opened perfectly and the bouquets were stunning.

Special thank you to Sarah Rolf at Agape Moments (http://www.agapemoments.net/) for sharing these pictures.

Chocolate brown and green

It is truly an treat for me to be asked to design for a friend's wedding. Sara and Aaron are two dear friends of mine and their wedding was so much fun this past summer at Nicollet Island. Aaron likes all things natural and relaxed and Sara's style is totally chic. The end result was very fun and unique arrangements...all within a chocolate brown and lime green theme.

As an extra special bonus Alison Lea was the photographer for their day. See her blog: http://www.alisonleaweddings.blogspot.com/

She is an amazing photographer with a talent for catching all the moments that make a wedding day so special. Enjoy these great shots!!!

A princess meets groom for wedding in the country

One of my favorite couples of 2008 were Natalie and Collin. They are an adorable couple who requested that the flowers at their very intimate reception (6 tables!) be both artistic and romantic for their country wedding...

A classic fairy tale wedding...

Red roses at the Lafayette Club - could anything be more fabulous? My bride, Lindsey, had a vision of all red roses for her day...and it was stunning!

Special thanks to Mari Bern from M Bellish http://www.mbellish.com/ for providing these wonderful crystal hurricanes. They complimented the look wonderfully!
