amanda + nick

Oh, how I love red roses! They are simple and dramatic all at the same time. My very chic bride, Amanda, picked all red roses for her wedding to Nick. Katie Raivala of Katie Raivala Photography graciously shared these amazing photos of Amanda and Nick's day. Katie has a great eye and beautifully captured the dimension created between the light and dark shades in the variety of roses I used. Love that! Best wishes to Amanda and Nick- I know you have an amazing life ahead of you!

meghan + david

Meghan was the cutest bride ever - so happy and joyful when I saw her on her wedding day. She loved the dark purple mini calla lilies and they were a focal point of the bouquets and boutonnieres. Paired with lime green, they screamed updated elegance! Love it!

Photos by Imagen International and cake by D'Amico - great job to both!

nikki + james

Nikki just emailed me these fantastic shots (courtesy of
Frozen Music Studios Photography http://www.frozenmusicstudios.com) from her beautiful June wedding to James. Their requests were simple - stunning flowers in yellow, white and orange. Nikki's bouquet was a mix of white peonies, white mini calla lilies and some stunning orange vanda orchids.

For their tall centerpieces, I used rare yellow peonies mixed with virburium and a few orchids.
The low centerpieces were all in orange: gerberas, protea, roses and tulips.

I had so much fun working on the arrangements for Nikki and James - thank you for the opportunity!!

stephanie + dale

I love this couple - Stephanie is a local gal and Dale is from Canada. They both had a great eye for color and design. Their venue was perfect for them - The McNamara Center at the University of Minnesota. The bridesmaids' dress color was a beautiful shade of green with white sash and we carried that color scheme through all the centerpieces and bouquets. Stephanie loved roses and Dale like calla lilies and together these flowers created the perfect white and green theme for their wedding!!!

Stephanie's all rose bouquet was charming with a vintage broach.

Callas for bridesmaids with ribbon ties like their dresses.

Submerged seeded eucalyptus topped with candle on half the tables and white rose bouquets on the other tables.

Tall callas on the cocktail tables - simple and stunning.

Best wishes to the happy couple - thank you so much for allowing me to design for your day!!!

Classic Elegance at Carlson Towers

Perfect Dessert

I recently was introduced to the lovely, Heather Keogh, owner of The Perfect Dessert, through our mutual client. Heather and I met to collaborate on the floral design for the cupcake stand for our client's upcoming September wedding. Heather brought with her a sample of her yummy cake - chocolate - my FAVORITE! My kids, Lucy and Henry, were in my office that day and of course, they had to try the cake, too!! Here are the before and after shots of Heather's cake.

Check out Heather's website and see her amazing desserts. Heather's speciality is custom created desserts and cakes for weddings and events. Her passion for her art translates to beautiful and tasty creations!

hilary + mike

An amazing couple - Hilary and Mike - got married a few weeks ago and I was thrilled to work with them! They had big venues that needed a personal wedding touch. The ceremony was at Hennipen Ave Methodist and the reception at Nicollet Island Pavilion. Their amazing photographer, Alison Lea Photography, took these romantic shots of their day.

Hilary's bouquet was a mix of light pink and champagne colors - roses, orchids, freesia, tuberose and astilble.

Cute!

The bridesmaids carried roses and orchids in brighter colors - coral and pink.

Nicollet Island at its best!!!

A few garden roses and orchids to the top of their wonderful cake.

All photos except the last one were thanks to Alison Lea Photography. Last shot by Molly's Flower Studio.
